- Prof. Manoj Kumar Sinha presently working as Professor & Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, Assam University, Silchar. He has been appointed as the Dean of Swami Vivekananda School of Library Sciences & Acting Librarian, Rabindra (Central) Library, Assam University, Silchar.He did Graduation, Post –Graduation and Ph.D. Degree in Zoology, Lib.& Inf. Science from T.M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. He has about 17 years of professional experience in Librarianship and around 11 years of Teaching and Research in Library and Information Science. He is life member of ILA, IASLIC, IATLIS, UPLA, SIS, MANLIBNET, JILA, Assam Library Association, FBAI, and actively associated with research and academic work. He has been associated with many universities as Board of Studies Members.He has published more than 300 research papers and articles in the areas of Lib.& Inf. Sciences, Botany, Zoology and Environmental Sciences. Under his supervision nine Ph.D. Scholars and nine M.Phil. Scholars have been awarded Ph.D. and M.Phil. Submission of Paper
Papers will be considered on the above themes and sub-themes and related issues. Both invited and contributed papers will be considered. Submitted papers or extended abstracts will pass on through peer review. A generalized presentation should be avoided. Paper must be in English. The full paper with abstract not exceeding 10-12 pages of A4 size paper double space with margin of 1.25” in left/ right/ top and bottom and duly signed by the author (s) and typed/ printed in double space (in duplicate) composed in MS –Word should reach Dr. Manoj Kumar Sinha , Organising Secretary , National Seminar on Collection Development latest by January 15, 2010. Paper may be sent through e-mail and member of the Editorial Committee would like to communicate with you all information regarding paper through e-mail (nscd2011@gmail.com, dlsau2010@gmail.com, hod_lis@aus.ac.in, dr_mk_sinha@yahoo.com .
A declaration by the author(s) should be made separately (with original signature) that the paper(s) has / have not been sent elsewhere for publication/ presentation and copyright of the paper(s) has /have been transferred to the Editor (Copyright Transfer Form can be accessed at http://sites.google.com/site/nscd2011 .
All accepted papers will be invited for presentation in the technical sessions. The paper accepted for presentation will be included in the Pre-Seminar Proceedings only after receiving non-refundable Rs.500/- which will be adjusted in with Registration Fee. DD may be sent in favour of the “Assam University: National Seminar on Collection Development (NSCD-2011) ” payable at Silchar and may be sent to Dr. Manoj Kumar Sinha, Organising Secretary , National Seminar on Collection Development & Head , Department of Library and Information Science, Assam University, Silchar-788 011. The decision of the Editorial Committee will be final and no correspondence regarding the acceptance of papers for presentation in the seminar or otherwise will be entertained.

Registration
Filled in Registration Form should reach the Organising Secretary on or before January 25, 2011. Registration Fee of Rs.250/- will be charged from the students and retired persons and Rs.500/- will be charged from the working LIS Professionals. Those who need accommodation will be required to pay an advance of Rs.500/- . Rooms will be provided on twin sharing basis. Those who are coming with family (two persons only @ Rs.500/- each accompanying person) should pay an advance of Rs.1000/- as hotel/ guest house charges. The Organising Committee will provide accommodation to the participants who made advance payment only. For accommodation please contact Sri Jayanta Bhattcharjee, Deputy Registrar (Exam) ( 09435071739) and Dr. Mukut Sarmah, Asst Professor DLISc, ( 09435193769) for any help.
